I have my my personal blog on blogger! But, don’t use it! I made a mistake 6 years back, but I have to live it for now, until I move to a better platform.
Today you can use Medium (my first preference) or Wordpress (second preference). If you do go with Wordpress and want more control with template and widgets, you will still have to get a custom domain. So, I would say Medium is a clear winner.
