Repair To Fix AirPods Not Connecting to Mac

Repair To Fix AirPods Not Connecting to Mac

When you do this, make sure your AirPods are charged up and the AirPods case is open (or that AirPods are in your ears). After a while, your AirPods should connect to the Mac and you’ll see their battery percentage there. If you want to disconnect, just click on the Disconnect button.
Repair To Fix AirPods Not Connecting to Mac

If your AirPods are already paired with your Mac but they refuse to connect, you’ll have to unpair and pair them again. As AirPods work as Bluetooth headphones, this is the same as resetting them.

Step 1: Open the System Preferences app and go to Bluetooth.

Step 2: You’ll see your AirPods in the list if they’re already paired once. Right-click and choose Remove. On the next pop up, click on Forget Device.

Step 3: Your AirPods are now disconnected and reset. Open the AirPods case next to the Mac and press and hold the Round setup button at the back of the case. You’ll see AirPods in the list of available devices. Click on the Connect button to start the pairing process.

In a couple of seconds, they’ll be connected and you’ll see them in the Bluetooth section in the menu bar as well.
Manually Reset AirPods

As we’ve highlighted in our AirPods tips and tricks guide, you can manually reset your AirPods without involving the Mac. Just press and hold the Round button at the back of the case for 10 seconds or until you see the white flashing light inside the case. Now when you go to connect it to the Mac, you’ll have to go through the pairing process again. Once you’re done, the issue of AirPods not connecting to Mac should be fixed.
Solve The Connection Issues with AirBuddy

Constantly manually connecting to AirPods on the Mac is very frustrating. Especially when you have to go to the Bluetooth menu to connect to AirPods.

AirBuddy is a small $5 utility that solves this problem. It brings iOS style connection popup to the Mac. Just flick open the AirPods next to your Mac and a panel will drop down listing your AirPods and their battery percentage. Just click on Click to Connect button and your AirPods will be connected.

The best thing about AirBuddy is that it works consistently, every time. This is the feature Apple should have included in macOS.

Download: AirBuddy ($5)
Other Tips

If AirPods are connected but there’s no sound coming from them, you should check to see if they’re selected as output or not. You can do this by clicking the Volume icon in the menu bar and then selecting your AirPods. Alternatively, you can go to the Sound section in System Preferences and select your AirPods as an output.

If you’ve done all of the above and AirPods are still not connecting, try to connect them to your iPhone or iPad and see if they’re working there. If it’s not the AirPods, it might be your Mac’s problem.

In that case, first, try rebooting your Mac. Power it down and boot it again after leaving it powered off for a minute. Also Read:jihosoft Free iPhone Data Recovery

You can also easily enable automatic chat backups, allowing iCloud to regularly backup your WhatsApp chats.

2.Restore WhatsApp from iCloud

To restore the WhatsApp chats from the iCloud backup follow these simple steps;

Step 1: Begin by going to WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup to make sure the iCloud backup is there.

Step 2: Once you are certain you have a backup delete and uninstall WhatsApp from the app store.

Save WhatsApp Data via Email

One of the ways you can back up your WhatsApp chats on your iPhone is by simply sending the chats to yourself via email. WhatsApp allows you to export chats to email although they will not include media files.

If you want to save the conversation you can email yourself the chat history using this procedure.

Access the conversation on WhatsApp that you want to email yourself.

In the navigation bar tap on the name or contact number of the person.

Scroll to the bottom of the chat and select the option of export chat.

You will get the option of whether you want to attach media or want the email without media.

You can select the mail app from the given options according to the account you are using on your Apple device.

Enter the email address and tap on send.

Within few seconds you will receive the notification.

Bottom Line: Comparing the 4 Methods

The methods we have outlined above all have their pros and cons. But to get a real sense of which one will work best for you, it is necessary to compare them against each other;

iTransor is a paid method but you will not have to uninstall WhatsApp to restore the backup since the backup is stored on your computer.

iCloud is free to use although you will have to uninstall WhatsApp when restoring the backup. You will also require to pay storage space in iCloud if you have a large WhatsApp backup.

The third method is also free but you will not be able to restore WhatsApp messages only. All the data on the device may also be erased during the restore process.

The last method is free but it saves only some conversations instead of the whole WhatsApp database.

Import Google Contacts to iPhone 2019

1. Import Google Contacts to iPhone by Syncing

Before you do anything, you'll need to have set up a Google account on your iPhone. To do that, you'll need to follow the steps below:

Go into Settings > Accounts & Passwords (or go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars if you use iOS 10.3.3 and earlier versions) and then hit Add Account.

Following that, just press the Google logo to begin the process.

Enter your Gmail credentials and hit Sign in. You'll then be asked what you want iOS to access in your Google account; as long as Contacts is selected, it doesn't really matter.

By now, you should have your Gmail set up on your iPhone. Here's how to sync the Google contacts with your iPhone.

Again, go to Settings > Accounts & Passwords (or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars) on your iPhone, and then hit the Gmail account that you just added.

You'll see a little toggle button next to Contacts – make sure that is turned on (in green).

Your contacts will then start streaming in from Gmail to your Contacts section on your iPhone.

2. Import Google Contacts to iPhone via iCloud

An alternative method is to utilize iCloud to retrieve your Google contacts to your iPhone. By deploying this strategy, you'll be able to select which contacts you import, rather than having them all flood across. It's really easy, just follow these steps:

First off, make sure you're using the old version of Google Contacts, because the newest update doesn't support the exporting function.

Log into your Gmail account on your browser, then hit Google > Contacts.

Choose the contacts that you want to import, press More > Export > vCard format.

You'll then need to go across to your iCloud and log into your account using your Apple credentials on iCloud.com.

Click on Contacts and select Import vCard (the file you've just exported from Google).

Then turn on Contacts in iCloud on your iPhone by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.

Then you can find the Google contact has been imported to your iPhone.

Encrypt iPhone Backup: Everything You Need to Know 2019

Encrypt iPhone Backup: Everything You Need to Know 2019

Read this article to learn about Encrypted Backup feature of iPhone. It lists the instructions that you will need to follow in order to encrypt/unencrypt your iPhone backup.
iPhone Backup Encryption: Everything You Need to Know

Tip 1: What Does Encrypt iPhone Backup Mean

Tip 2: What's the Difference Between Encrypted Backup and Unencrypted Backup?

Tip 3: How to Encrypt iPhone Backup?

Tip 4: How to Turn Off iPhone Backup Encryption?

Tip 5: Backup and Restore Media Files without iTunes
#1 What Does Encrypt iPhone Backup Mean?

All iPhones feature Encrypt Backup option that increases the security of backups by locking and encoding your information. Your backup is protected via password and the encryption prevents unauthorized access to the contents of the backup. So, if anyone uses your computer and goes through your iPhone encrypted backups, they won't be able to view backup contents because it will require a password.
#2 Differences Between Encrypted Backup and Unencrypted Backup

One of the major differences between encrypted and unencrypted backups is that there is additional information stored in encrypted backup which is not included in other backups. That additional information includes your website history, personalized settings, and passwords.

Another difference is that you need a password to restore an encrypted backup. The password is not required when syncing or backing up, it is only required when you restore.

Note

Keep in mind that you cannot turn off Encrypt Backup if you don't remember the password. You also won't be able to recover your information. So it is recommended that you write down the password for your encrypted backup and keep it somewhere safe and accessible.
#3 How to Encrypt iPhone Backup?

By default, iPhone backups are unencrypted. In order to encrypt your iPhone backup, you will need to turn on the password-protected Encrypt backup option in iTunes. After that, all your future backups will be automatically encrypted for that specific iDevice.

Follow these instructions to encrypt iPhone backup:

Step 1. Open iTunes in your computer and connect your iDevice to your computer via lightning cable.

Step 2. Once your iDevice is detected by iTunes, go to the Summary screen and click on ‘Encrypt [device] backup' option available in the Backups section.

Step 3. You will need to create a password for this. So create a password and it is highly recommended that you write it down and store it somewhere safe and accessible so that you can access it when needed.

Step 4. Once you have successfully created the password, iTunes will start backing up your connected iPhone and will also overwrite and encrypt your previous backups.
#4 How to Turn Off iPhone Backup Encryption?

Turning off iPhone backup encryption is just as easier as encrypting a backup. Similar to encrypting a backup, you will need to use iTunes to turn off encryption. Keep in mind that you will need iTunes backup password in order to turn off backup encryption.

Follow these instructions:

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes.

Step 2. Go to Summary > Backup and uncheck the ‘Encrypt [device] backup' option.

Step 3. iTunes will ask for a backup password, enter it and the backup encryption feature will be turned off.

Note

If you have forgotten the backup encryption password, then you will need to find it first in order to proceed. If you can't remember your password or can't find it where you stored it, then you have two options: you can either restore or erase your iDevice or use iCloud to backup.Sponsor ads:

How to Identify Refurbished iPhones?

How to Identify Refurbished iPhones?

There are two types of iPhones available on the market: retail and refurbished. And there are a number of reasons why you may want to identify the refurbished ones. Maybe you purchased one from eBay or Craigslist, or maybe Apple sent you a replacement after your original one broke. Or maybe you are just curious to find out. Read this article to learn how to identify refurbished iPhone.
What is a Refurbished iPhone?

A refurbished iPhone is also an original unit, but it is repacked and made available for sale by Apple. Usually it is an exchanged or returned phone, repaired by Apple technicians and then certified as fully functional. Many sellers try to sell such units claiming them to be retail ones. That’s why it is important to identify the refurbished ones from the retail ones.

Part 1: How to Identify Refurbished iPhones

Part 2: What’s the Hidden Trouble of a Refurbished iPhone

Part 3: How to Completely Reset a Refurbished iPhone Before Using

Tip: Why There Are Refurbished iPhones
How to Identify Refurbished iPhones

Following are some ways about how to identify refurbished iPhones:
1. How to Identify Refurbished iPhones - Check the Box and General Information

Check the box and the general information is the easiest way to identify refurbished iPhones. Check it and see if it’s tightly sealed with the model number on the front and the serial number on the back. If everything checks out, then it is likely that you have purchased a new (retail) phone. The phone is likely refurbished if there is no box or there is a box but it doesn’t include manual or don’t have serial number on it.

2. How to Identify Refurbished iPhones - Check Model Number

Another way to distinguish a refurbished iPhone from a retail one is to check the model number from the phone’s settings.

Follow these instructions:

Step 1: Open Settings app on iPhone and navigate to General > About > Model section.

Step 2: Check the first letter shown at the right side of Model.

Step 3: Your iPhone is a retail model if the first letter is “M”.

Step 4: Your iPhone is refurbished if the first letter is “N”.

3. How to Identify Refurbished iPhones - Check Serial Number

You can verify the serial number of your iPhone on Apple’s Check Coverage website to know how to identify refurbished iPhones.

Follow these instructions:

Step 1: Open Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to General > About > Serial Number section.

Step 2: Note the serial number and then visit Apple’s Check Coverage website and type the serial number there. It will tell you whether the phone has been activated before or not.

Step 3: If the phone is already activated, then it is likely that it is refurbished or at least not ‘new’. If it is not activated, then it is a retail unit.

What’s the Hidden Trouble of a Refurbished iPhone

There are many disadvantages associated with refurbished iPhones. Following are some of the hidden troubles of such units:

Refurbished iPhones don’t have original parts, instead they have replacement parts. The shelf life of these parts is lower than the original ones.

Although refurbished iPhones are repaired and repacked with new parts. You cannot be 100% sure that there aren’t any defects.

The warranty of refurbished iPhones may either be out of time or it won’t cover most things as compared to what it normally does with retail iPhones.

It is likely that the refurbished iPhone still contains previous owner’s information (in the form of data fragments/traces).Sponsor ads:

How Can I Save My WhatsApp Conversations on iPhone? 2019

Save WhatsApp Conversation by Backing It Up to iCloud

The first way that you can backup chat history in WhatsApp is by just putting them on iCloud. Here is how to do it:

(1) Make sure you are signed into iCloud, then open up the WhatsApp app on your phone and go to WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Chat Backup.

(2) Tap where it says Back Up Now.

(3) You can also tap Auto Backup to set the app for periodic backups.

This method has some limitations, however. For one, you have to make sure it doesn't exceed your allotted iCloud storage limit, or else you may have to pay. More importantly, though, you can't view what data is in the backup until you restore it from iCloud to your phone, wiping the data on your phone. There's no way to view or extract the data without doing this.
Save WhatsApp Conversations by Emailing Them to Others

If you email the conversation to yourself, it will be stored in your inbox of course. Here is how to backup chat history in WhatsApp by emailing them:

(1) Open up WhatsApp on your phone and tap the conversation you want to save.

(2) Tap on the name of your contact, then go down to where it says Export Chat.Sponsor ads:
