iPhone SE 2 Could Launch in Q1 2020, Will Feature Improved Antenna Design

In his latest investor note for TF International, Ming-Chi Kuo says that the iPhone SE 2 will feature an improved antenna design. The handset is also slated to go into mass production in early 2020 before it launches at the end of Q1 2020.

Kuo says that the iPhone SE 2 will feature liquid crystal polymer (LCP) antenna design for improved network performance. Career Technologies and Murata Manufacturing will be supplying Apple with the necessary components for the new antenna starting in early 2020.

The iPhone SE 2 will look identical to the iPhone 8 and sport a 4.7-inch screen. It will also feature Touch ID, A13 Bionic, and 3GB RAM along with 64/128GB storage. Recent rumors claim the iPhone SE 2 will start from $399 making it the cheapest iPhone in Apple’s lineup when it goes on sale. It will reportedly be available in three colors: Space Gray, Silver, and Red.

This new iPhone SE 2 should also come with Haptic Touch instead of 3D Touch. The budget price tag means the phone will likely only come with a single camera at the rear, and since it will continue to feature Touch ID, it won’t have Face ID or any of the features that it brings to the table.

Since the iPhone SE 2 will have a design that’s identical to the iPhone 8, it is unclear if Apple will use the SE moniker or call it something else. A jump in display size to 4.7-inch will make the iPhone SE 2 bigger than the 4-inch iPhone SE which many people tend to prefer due to its smaller form factor.Tips:

Is iCloud Assistant Pro Reliable to Unlock iPhone?

Is iCloud Assistant Pro Reliable to Unlock iPhone?

iCloud Assistant Pro (also called iCloud Assistant Pro Enterprise 2019) is an iOS device unlocking tool that unlocked blocked iPhones and iPads without using iCloud account credentials.

This tool is most useful in the following scenarios:

1. When you can no longer remember your iOS device passcode.

2.When you’re gifted or purchased an iPhone without getting the screen passcode.

There are other situations where this tool could be employed to unlock an iPhone or iPad, but we can exhaust them here. One thing that strikes as a difference between iCloud Assistant Pro and other iPhone unlocking tool is the ease of use: easy navigation and simple interface.

iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Hands-On: The Much-Awaited Dark Mode Is Here Finally!

After years of wishing for it, Apple has finally unleashed the Dark mode. And how. Once enabled, it is system-wide. It stretches from the dynamic wallpaper, to the widgets screen, to the Settings screen. And soon, Apple will be able to automatically switch to dark mode as well. Learn all about it, in our hands-on post below.
iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Dark Mode: Everything You Need to Know

In this post, we are talking about the new Dark mode in iOS 13. If you want to see more pictures of the dark mode, take a look at our dark mode gallery here. To learn about the new features in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, check out our lists for What’s New in iOS 13and What’s New in iPadOS 13.
A (Mostly) True Black Dark Mode

This is something we weren’t sure if Apple was going to do. The backgrounds in the dark mode are true black. This means that the pixels on the OLED screens don’t light up. Not only does it save on battery life on the newer iPhones, it also looks cool.

One of the worries of using a dark mode is reduced contrast ratio. Apple has taken care of this by redesigning the UI. While the background is true black, almost nothing is. Every text box is surrounded by a grey box and the new Tabs UI actually has shadows underneath (imagine that). The best way to show the interplay between these three different colors, true black, grey, and white, is by using the Settings app on the iPad. Take a look at the screenshot below.

All these changes mean that there’s not a huge hit to the readability. Of course, this is a subjective matter. And I can say that reading black text on a white background is still a lot clearer. But the dark mode is easier on the eyes and is more soothing in general. It also subdues the allure of the iPhone screen. The dark mode might help you use the iPhone less.

Dark mode on the iPad is quite special. Because of the larger canvas, using Safari and Notes side by side, in dark mode is a great experience. The home screen also looks quite good, with the dark widgets and the dark wallpaper.
New Dynamic Wallpapers Are Charming

I think the new wallpapers in iOS 13 are some of the best that Apple has created in years. The last great set of wallpapers were the one with iPhone 6s, when live wallpaper support was added.

There are four new dynamic wallpapers, in different colors. Red, Blue, Green, and Grey. In the light mode, they have a white background and when you switch to the dark mode, the wallpaper automatically changes to the dark mode version, with a dark background. Plus, when you’re setting the wallpaper, there’s also an option to dim the dark mode wallpaper even further. This doesn’t look great for all wallpapers though so turn it off from settings when not needed.

The red wallpaper, which is the default, is the most striking. But personally, I don’t like loud wallpapers. So for me, the gray wallpaper has been perfect. It’s a good step up from a pure black wallpaper as you do get to see some texture, but it’s not overpowering.

How to Enable and Disable Dark Mode

When you set up your iPhone and iPad with iOS 13, the onboarding process will ask you if you want to switch to the Dark mode. Even if you don’t select it then, you can always go to the Control Center, press on the Brightness slider and then tap on the Appearance button to switch between the Light and the Dark mode.

You can set the dark mode on a schedule as well. Go to Settings -> Display and Brightness and turn on the Automatic option. Then tap on Settings to switch to a custom schedule. By default, the dark mode will turn on automatically after sunset.Sponsor ads:

Apple releases iOS 12.4 Developer Beta 3

Another day (as usual, Tuesday), another developer beta released by Apple for iDevices. This time, however, tvOS, macOS or watchOS see no love as only iOS beta gets released.

Apple isn’t known for showcasing every change in their developer betas, or any at all really. iOS 12.4 Developer Beta 3 is no exception, but we didn’t expect much either. This update most likely only features bug fixes and patches, minor cosmetic changes if any at all and probably, absolutely no new features to be seen.

We expect this update to be preparing iOS devices for the upcoming Apple Card, thereby no new features to be seen with the naked eye without diving deeper into the system.

This is one of those boring updates right before WWDC19, where all we get is polishing of the previous version of iOS for the devices that won’t receive the upcoming major update, which is iOS 13 in this case.

We expect iOS 13 to be the biggest update to iOS since its revamp with iOS 7 in 2013. Features like dark mode have already leaked and even the redesigned reminders app has appeared.

Tune in for our WWDC19 coverage on the 1st of June, where you’ll get much more exciting updates. In the meantime, if you want to install this developer beta, you can follow our guide. While it’s for a different version of iOS, the steps are all the same.

Galaxy Fold Launch Delayed as Samsung Commits to 'Strengthen the Display Protection' [Updated]

The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung has delayed its launch of the Galaxy Fold until "at least next month" after multiple review units experienced sudden display failures while being tested by the media last week.

Todd Haselton/CNBC

Samsung initially said it remained committed to launching the Galaxy Fold on April 26, but the rollout is now expected in the "coming weeks." The company has yet to confirm the delay, but it wouldn't be surprising given that at least some of the folding smartphones appear to have a serious hardware issue.

Galaxy Fold launch events in Hong Kong and Shanghai have already been postponed, according to Engadget's Richard Lai. Gihosoft RePicvid Free Photo Recovery Software provides a free photo recovery software for windows to help users recover the deleted or lost photo for free.

Samsung earlier confirmed that it would "thoroughly inspect" the affected devices to determine the cause, but it has yet to provide an explanation. Samsung also cautioned that removing the protective layer on the display could cause damage, but some displays failed even with the protective layer in place.

The delay would be an embarrassing mishap for a smartphone that starts at $1,980, but the right move before the Galaxy Fold gets into the hands of thousands of customers around the world and potentially turned into a larger problem.

Update: Samsung has confirmed the delay in a statement provided to CNBC, noting that it will announce a new release date "in the coming weeks" and "will take measures to strengthen the display protection."

We recently unveiled a completely new mobile category: a smartphone using multiple new technologies and materials to create a display that is flexible enough to fold. We are encouraged by the excitement around the Galaxy Fold.

While many reviewers shared with us the vast potential they see, some also showed us how the device needs further improvements that could ensure the best possible user experience.

To fully evaluate this feedback and run further internal tests, we have decided to delay the release of the Galaxy Fold. We plan to announce the release date in the coming weeks.

Initial findings from the inspection of reported issues on the display showed that they could be associated with impact on the top and bottom exposed areas of the hinge. There was also an instance where substances found inside the device affected the display performance.

We will take measures to strengthen the display protection. We will also enhance the guidance on care and use of the display including the protective layer so that our customers get the most out of their Galaxy Fold.

We value the trust our customers place in us and they are always our top priority. Samsung is committed to working closely with customers and partners to move the industry forward. We want to thank them for their patience and understanding.

How to Build Your Own Thriving E-Commerce Business in Just 4 Steps

How to Build Your Own Thriving E-Commerce Business in Just 4 Steps

There’s a big shift happening right in front of our eyes. LARGE retail stores are closing each day. This past December, Sears told its employees that 80 Sears and Kmart locations across the U.S. will shut by March.

Retail giants like Walmart are looking online to grow and expand. At the same time, Amazon grows by an unstoppable rate. And it doesn’t show any sign of slowing down.

Jeff Bezos revealed something very interesting in his annual letter to shareholders last week. Here’s an excerpt from his annual letter:

Something strange and remarkable has happened over the last 20 years.

1999 3%

2000 3%

2001 6%

2002 17%

2003 22%

2004 25%

2005 28%

2006 28%

2007 29%

2008 30%

2009 31%

2010 34%

2011 38%

2012 42%

2013 46%

2014 49%

2015 51%

2016 54%

2017 56%

2018 58%

The percentages represent the share of physical gross merchandise sales sold on Amazon by independent third-party sellers – mostly small- and medium-sized businesses – as opposed to Amazon retail’s own first party sales. Third-party sales have grown from 3% of the total to 58%. To put it bluntly:

Third-party sellers are kicking our first party butt. Badly.

This confirms that if you want to build a strong, profitable, lasting business, selling physical products on Amazon is the way to go.

The only “trick” is to know how to do it the right way. If you don’t want to reinvent the wheel and want to learn from the best on how to build a successful Amazon business, then, there is no one better than our friends, Matt Clark and Jason Katzenback, at Amazing.

The great thing about the internet is that you can learn how to build the Amazon business from them (they’ve taught top Amazon sellers from over 100 different countries how to do this).

Our friends have just told us that they’re hosting a free live webinar to teach how to build a profitable life-changing business selling your own brand of products online which covers the following topics:

Why now is the perfect time to build an online business with your own brand of physical products

The exact 4 steps they’ve taught tens of thousands of people to build their own business from scratch…no experience necessary

Key iOS Chip Architect Gerard Williams III Departs Apple

Gerard Williams III, lead designer of Apple's custom iOS chips from A7 to A12X, has departed the company, according to CNET. While no indication of a change has been made on his LinkedIn profile, it does offer a glimpse into his design prowess.

Williams' presence goes back even further into Apple device history, as he served as the technical lead for the Cortex-A8 design, ARM's first superscalar core design and the heart of the iPhone 3GS. His role evidently grew over the years, with CPU architecture responsibilities eventually evolving into ownership of the entire system on chip (SoC), which houses CPU, graphics, image processing, secure enclave, motion, and AI cores.

A look at his patent portfolio shows he was a key force behind Apple's foray into mixed CPU core clusters starting with the A10 Fusion chip, and transitioning into full heterogeneous cores with the A11 Bionic. His body of work also includes an emphasis on cache, memory, and energy efficiency. These have become key differentiating features as seen in performance benchmarking from sites such as AnandTech.

He came to Apple with a splash, as the A7 was Apple's first 64-bit CPU core. This design arrived on the market over a full year before competitors like Qualcomm and Samsung could respond and largely cemented the technical prowess of the SoC team Apple had created.

If confirmed, his departure would follow the more well-known CPU architect Jim Keller, who was part of Apple's acquisition of PA Semi. More recently, Apple's SoC team lost its lead Manu Gulati, whose vacated role was assumed by Williams. Apple has had some success at retaining key technical executives, however, as the recent rumors of SVP of Hardware Technologies Johnny Srouji's candidacy for Intel CEO fizzled out. Apple also managed to keep Bob Mansfield despite having announced his retirement.

As for potential destinations, Intel has become the number one destination for high-profile technical leads, as they have lured many key AMD executives, as well as former Apple lead Jim Keller. Intel has been absorbing members of the press as well as it seeks to reclaim its technical leadership in the industry, taking on long-tenured PC Perspectivewriters, including editor-in-chief Ryan Shrout. Also Read:jihosoft Free iPhone Data Recovery

Apple AirPower Wireless Charging Mat Cancelled

Apple announced the AirPower wireless charging mat back in 2017. Since then, there have been rumors upon rumors about an impending launch at any given time.

Apple’s original launch window was before the end of 2017. However, it soon broke down and, throughout 2018, there was semi-consistent speculation that Apple was “just around the corner” to actually launching it. But, it looks like we won’t be seeing AirPower anytime soon. Or ever, for that matter.

TechCrunch has the bad news today. As many had expected to see AirPower launch today, we’ve actually been dealt the opposite news: AirPower is cancelled. Here is Apple’s Dan Riccio on the cancellation, which Apple is apologizing for:

“After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward,” said Dan Riccio, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering in an emailed statement today.”

It’s worth noting that the construction of the AirPower was at odds with the industry standard up to this point. The AirPower consisted of three layers of coils, which no other company had attempted to utilize. And now we know that the AirPower was unable to “achieve” the “high standards” set in place by Apple for its products.

Apple does note that it’s not giving up on wireless experiences, and it’s possible that it will try again with a different wireless charging mat. One with a different design than the AirPower. But, as it stands right now, the AirPower wireless charging mat is officially cancelled and we can go ahead and stop looking forward to it.
Our Take

The idea of AirPower was a good one, but this almost always felt a little inevitable. Considering how many times the company scrubbed AirPower from its website, or stayed quiet on the accessory, it’s never really felt like a device that was actually going to launch. It looks like owners of the second-generation AirPods with a wireless charging casewill need to get a different wireless charging mat.
We Want To Hear From You

Are you sad about this news at all? Frustrated? Or had you already written off AirPower?

Apple releases iOS 12.2 Public Beta 5

Apple releases iOS 12.2 Public Beta 5

Apple has seeded the fifth beta of iOS 12.2 with minor changes. Here’s how you can get this update on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
WHAT’S NEW IN IOS 12.2 BETA 5?

iOS 12.2 Beta 5 weighs about 300MB for all compatible devices and comes with a build number of 16E5223a.

Since this build number ends with an “a”, it’s highly likely that the upcoming beta will be Golden Master.

As far as changes go, this update doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Just like its predecessor, Beta 5 brings bug fixes and performance enhancements.

As the fifth beta is available for both developers and non-developers, you can get this update straight from the Settings app.

Alternatively, you can manually download and install the OTA profile given below.
IOS 12.2 BETA 5 DOWNLOAD

SHOULD YOU UPDATE?

This update is a regular “bug-fix” update that corrects the issues present in the older betas. If your device is already stable and bug-free, there’s no good reason for you to update it.

If, however, you are into jailbreaking and have already updated to iOS 12, avoid this version like the plague. Also Read:How to Make Funny Memes on iPhone & Best Meme Maker Apps in 2019

Step 2: You’ll see your AirPods in the list if they’re already paired once. Right-click and choose Remove. On the next pop up, click on Forget Device.

Step 3: Your AirPods are now disconnected and reset. Open the AirPods case next to the Mac and press and hold the Round setup button at the back of the case. You’ll see AirPods in the list of available devices. Click on the Connect button to start the pairing process.

In a couple of seconds, they’ll be connected and you’ll see them in the Bluetooth section in the menu bar as well.

As we’ve highlighted in our AirPods tips and tricks guide, you can manually reset your AirPods without involving the Mac. Just press and hold the Round button at the back of the case for 10 seconds or until you see the white flashing light inside the case. Now when you go to connect it to the Mac, you’ll have to go through the pairing process again. Once you’re done, the issue of AirPods not connecting to Mac should be fixed.
Solve The Connection Issues with AirBuddy

Constantly manually connecting to AirPods on the Mac is very frustrating. Especially when you have to go to the Bluetooth menu to connect to AirPods.

AirBuddy is a small $5 utility that solves this problem. It brings iOS style connection popup to the Mac. Just flick open the AirPods next to your Mac and a panel will drop down listing your AirPods and their battery percentage. Just click on Click to Connect button and your AirPods will be connected.

The best thing about AirBuddy is that it works consistently, every time. This is the feature Apple should have included in macOS.

Download: AirBuddy ($5)
Other Tips

If AirPods are connected but there’s no sound coming from them, you should check to see if they’re selected as output or not. You can do this by clicking the Volume icon in the menu bar and then selecting your AirPods. Alternatively, you can go to the Sound section in System Preferences and select your AirPods as an output.

If you’ve done all of the above and AirPods are still not connecting, try to connect them to your iPhone or iPad and see if they’re working there. If it’s not the AirPods, it might be your Mac’s problem.

In that case, first, try rebooting your Mac. Power it down and boot it again after leaving it powered off for a minute. Also Read:jihosoft Free iPhone Data Recovery

You can also easily enable automatic chat backups, allowing iCloud to regularly backup your WhatsApp chats.

2.Restore WhatsApp from iCloud

To restore the WhatsApp chats from the iCloud backup follow these simple steps;

Step 1: Begin by going to WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup to make sure the iCloud backup is there.

Step 2: Once you are certain you have a backup delete and uninstall WhatsApp from the app store.

Step 3: Reinstall the app and then verify your phone number. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore the backup.

Save WhatsApp Data via Email

One of the ways you can back up your WhatsApp chats on your iPhone is by simply sending the chats to yourself via email. WhatsApp allows you to export chats to email although they will not include media files.

If you want to save the conversation you can email yourself the chat history using this procedure.

Access the conversation on WhatsApp that you want to email yourself.

In the navigation bar tap on the name or contact number of the person.

Scroll to the bottom of the chat and select the option of export chat.

You will get the option of whether you want to attach media or want the email without media.

You can select the mail app from the given options according to the account you are using on your Apple device.

Enter the email address and tap on send.

Within few seconds you will receive the notification.

Bottom Line: Comparing the 4 Methods

The methods we have outlined above all have their pros and cons. But to get a real sense of which one will work best for you, it is necessary to compare them against each other;

iTransor is a paid method but you will not have to uninstall WhatsApp to restore the backup since the backup is stored on your computer.

iCloud is free to use although you will have to uninstall WhatsApp when restoring the backup. You will also require to pay storage space in iCloud if you have a large WhatsApp backup.

The third method is also free but you will not be able to restore WhatsApp messages only. All the data on the device may also be erased during the restore process.

The last method is free but it saves only some conversations instead of the whole WhatsApp database.

Import Google Contacts to iPhone 2019

1. Import Google Contacts to iPhone by Syncing

Before you do anything, you'll need to have set up a Google account on your iPhone. To do that, you'll need to follow the steps below:

Go into Settings > Accounts & Passwords (or go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars if you use iOS 10.3.3 and earlier versions) and then hit Add Account.

Following that, just press the Google logo to begin the process.

Enter your Gmail credentials and hit Sign in. You'll then be asked what you want iOS to access in your Google account; as long as Contacts is selected, it doesn't really matter.

By now, you should have your Gmail set up on your iPhone. Here's how to sync the Google contacts with your iPhone.

Again, go to Settings > Accounts & Passwords (or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars) on your iPhone, and then hit the Gmail account that you just added.

You'll see a little toggle button next to Contacts – make sure that is turned on (in green).

Your contacts will then start streaming in from Gmail to your Contacts section on your iPhone.

2. Import Google Contacts to iPhone via iCloud

An alternative method is to utilize iCloud to retrieve your Google contacts to your iPhone. By deploying this strategy, you'll be able to select which contacts you import, rather than having them all flood across. It's really easy, just follow these steps:

First off, make sure you're using the old version of Google Contacts, because the newest update doesn't support the exporting function.

Log into your Gmail account on your browser, then hit Google > Contacts.

Choose the contacts that you want to import, press More > Export > vCard format.

You'll then need to go across to your iCloud and log into your account using your Apple credentials on iCloud.com.

Click on Contacts and select Import vCard (the file you've just exported from Google).

Then turn on Contacts in iCloud on your iPhone by going to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.

Then you can find the Google contact has been imported to your iPhone.

Encrypt iPhone Backup: Everything You Need to Know 2019

Encrypt iPhone Backup: Everything You Need to Know 2019

Read this article to learn about Encrypted Backup feature of iPhone. It lists the instructions that you will need to follow in order to encrypt/unencrypt your iPhone backup.
iPhone Backup Encryption: Everything You Need to Know

Tip 1: What Does Encrypt iPhone Backup Mean

Tip 2: What's the Difference Between Encrypted Backup and Unencrypted Backup?

Tip 3: How to Encrypt iPhone Backup?

Tip 4: How to Turn Off iPhone Backup Encryption?

Tip 5: Backup and Restore Media Files without iTunes
#1 What Does Encrypt iPhone Backup Mean?

All iPhones feature Encrypt Backup option that increases the security of backups by locking and encoding your information. Your backup is protected via password and the encryption prevents unauthorized access to the contents of the backup. So, if anyone uses your computer and goes through your iPhone encrypted backups, they won't be able to view backup contents because it will require a password.
#2 Differences Between Encrypted Backup and Unencrypted Backup

One of the major differences between encrypted and unencrypted backups is that there is additional information stored in encrypted backup which is not included in other backups. That additional information includes your website history, personalized settings, and passwords.

Another difference is that you need a password to restore an encrypted backup. The password is not required when syncing or backing up, it is only required when you restore.

Note

Keep in mind that you cannot turn off Encrypt Backup if you don't remember the password. You also won't be able to recover your information. So it is recommended that you write down the password for your encrypted backup and keep it somewhere safe and accessible.
#3 How to Encrypt iPhone Backup?

By default, iPhone backups are unencrypted. In order to encrypt your iPhone backup, you will need to turn on the password-protected Encrypt backup option in iTunes. After that, all your future backups will be automatically encrypted for that specific iDevice.

Follow these instructions to encrypt iPhone backup:

Step 1. Open iTunes in your computer and connect your iDevice to your computer via lightning cable.

Step 2. Once your iDevice is detected by iTunes, go to the Summary screen and click on ‘Encrypt [device] backup' option available in the Backups section.

Step 3. You will need to create a password for this. So create a password and it is highly recommended that you write it down and store it somewhere safe and accessible so that you can access it when needed.

Step 4. Once you have successfully created the password, iTunes will start backing up your connected iPhone and will also overwrite and encrypt your previous backups.
#4 How to Turn Off iPhone Backup Encryption?

Turning off iPhone backup encryption is just as easier as encrypting a backup. Similar to encrypting a backup, you will need to use iTunes to turn off encryption. Keep in mind that you will need iTunes backup password in order to turn off backup encryption.

Follow these instructions:

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes.

Step 2. Go to Summary > Backup and uncheck the ‘Encrypt [device] backup' option.

Step 3. iTunes will ask for a backup password, enter it and the backup encryption feature will be turned off.

Note

If you have forgotten the backup encryption password, then you will need to find it first in order to proceed. If you can't remember your password or can't find it where you stored it, then you have two options: you can either restore or erase your iDevice or use iCloud to backup.Sponsor ads:

How to Identify Refurbished iPhones?

How to Identify Refurbished iPhones?

There are two types of iPhones available on the market: retail and refurbished. And there are a number of reasons why you may want to identify the refurbished ones. Maybe you purchased one from eBay or Craigslist, or maybe Apple sent you a replacement after your original one broke. Or maybe you are just curious to find out. Read this article to learn how to identify refurbished iPhone.
What is a Refurbished iPhone?

A refurbished iPhone is also an original unit, but it is repacked and made available for sale by Apple. Usually it is an exchanged or returned phone, repaired by Apple technicians and then certified as fully functional. Many sellers try to sell such units claiming them to be retail ones. That’s why it is important to identify the refurbished ones from the retail ones.

Part 1: How to Identify Refurbished iPhones

Part 2: What’s the Hidden Trouble of a Refurbished iPhone

Part 3: How to Completely Reset a Refurbished iPhone Before Using

Tip: Why There Are Refurbished iPhones
How to Identify Refurbished iPhones

Following are some ways about how to identify refurbished iPhones:
1. How to Identify Refurbished iPhones - Check the Box and General Information

Check the box and the general information is the easiest way to identify refurbished iPhones. Check it and see if it’s tightly sealed with the model number on the front and the serial number on the back. If everything checks out, then it is likely that you have purchased a new (retail) phone. The phone is likely refurbished if there is no box or there is a box but it doesn’t include manual or don’t have serial number on it.

2. How to Identify Refurbished iPhones - Check Model Number

Another way to distinguish a refurbished iPhone from a retail one is to check the model number from the phone’s settings.

Follow these instructions:

Step 1: Open Settings app on iPhone and navigate to General > About > Model section.

Step 2: Check the first letter shown at the right side of Model.

Step 3: Your iPhone is a retail model if the first letter is “M”.

Step 4: Your iPhone is refurbished if the first letter is “N”.

3. How to Identify Refurbished iPhones - Check Serial Number

You can verify the serial number of your iPhone on Apple’s Check Coverage website to know how to identify refurbished iPhones.

Follow these instructions:

Step 1: Open Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to General > About > Serial Number section.

Step 2: Note the serial number and then visit Apple’s Check Coverage website and type the serial number there. It will tell you whether the phone has been activated before or not.

Step 3: If the phone is already activated, then it is likely that it is refurbished or at least not ‘new’. If it is not activated, then it is a retail unit.

What’s the Hidden Trouble of a Refurbished iPhone

There are many disadvantages associated with refurbished iPhones. Following are some of the hidden troubles of such units:

Refurbished iPhones don’t have original parts, instead they have replacement parts. The shelf life of these parts is lower than the original ones.

Although refurbished iPhones are repaired and repacked with new parts. You cannot be 100% sure that there aren’t any defects.

The warranty of refurbished iPhones may either be out of time or it won’t cover most things as compared to what it normally does with retail iPhones.

It is likely that the refurbished iPhone still contains previous owner’s information (in the form of data fragments/traces).Sponsor ads:

How Can I Save My WhatsApp Conversations on iPhone? 2019

Save WhatsApp Conversation by Backing It Up to iCloud

The first way that you can backup chat history in WhatsApp is by just putting them on iCloud. Here is how to do it:

(1) Make sure you are signed into iCloud, then open up the WhatsApp app on your phone and go to WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Chat Backup.

(2) Tap where it says Back Up Now.

(3) You can also tap Auto Backup to set the app for periodic backups.

This method has some limitations, however. For one, you have to make sure it doesn't exceed your allotted iCloud storage limit, or else you may have to pay. More importantly, though, you can't view what data is in the backup until you restore it from iCloud to your phone, wiping the data on your phone. There's no way to view or extract the data without doing this.
Save WhatsApp Conversations by Emailing Them to Others

If you email the conversation to yourself, it will be stored in your inbox of course. Here is how to backup chat history in WhatsApp by emailing them:

(1) Open up WhatsApp on your phone and tap the conversation you want to save.

(2) Tap on the name of your contact, then go down to where it says Export Chat.Sponsor ads:
